Better Place

It looks like the best chance for a global transition to electric vehicles lies with Better Place - the forward thinking company that plans to build not just electric cars, but the entire infrastructure (charging and battery switch stations included) to support them.

Their website
is pretty inspiring, particularly this video that simulates a typical day with an electric car, complete with domestic interfacing.

Surprise

Guess who's just released a very modern, expressive and diverse album of new music, at the age of 76? Yoko Ono.

Eno

Although the conversation covers much of the predictable stuff, this Artscape interview with Brian Eno is still pretty enjoyable. The nice video quality is worth noting too.

Thanks, Larry

My enthusiasm for the upcoming pseudo Seinfeld reunion cannot be curbed. This preview has me stoked.

A Night at the Drive-In

Here's a nice little audio/photo piece on Atlanta's Starlight Six drive-in theater. Very few of them left anymore.

I never liked watching movies at the drive-in, but I can't deny I enjoyed the experience anyway. Except the part where I'm having trouble finding my car while carrying a mountain of food back from the snack bar.

PIL

John (Rotten) Lydon is reforming Public Image Ltd. Who knows how successful (financially and creatively) it'll be, but this resurrection makes a whole lot more sense than any Sex Pistols comeback.

Consider me interested. I loved PIL.

Regret

I really, really don't want to say this, but the upcoming Ricky Gervais flick looks bad.

He's better than this. Much better.
