Saatchi and Saatchi London develops a horrible campaign for Dr. Martens, who rightly reject the concept. Images are leaked, agency defends self, then gets fired by client. This all worked out exactly as it should have.
The offending concept: Kurt Cobain, Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone and Sid Vicious are still happily wearing their Docs up in heaven. That's a big busload of wrong right there.
Somehow, my daughter managed to take this photo while holding the notoriously frantic family cat. If I had attempted this, my face would have been instantly shredded.
Well done, Carly Bush.
*First and only blog post featuring pet photo. Rest assured.
Just finished watching a great little webcast performance from Elvis Costello, direct from Letterman's studio (I grabbed the screenshot above).
He's just released 2 new compilations, both focused on the early years of his career. My opinion: there's no better songwriter alive today. Hard to believe it's been 30 years since I bought my first vinyl copy of "My Aim is True."
