Points in Time 3.0

Originally a local radio show I developed and hosted for a couple years, "Points in Time" switched gears and moved to the web a year and a half ago. It presented a weekly playlist of experimental/electronic/ambient/etc sounds for the better part of a year, then fell dormant. Now, it's back in a format I've always wanted to pursue. If you visit the new "Points in Time" you'll get an interesting mix of live and recorded audio feeds (including air traffic from Amsterdam, atmospheric sounds via NASA and a shortwave broadcast from Turkey), all blended by your browser and a bunch of embedded Windows Media Players.

The choice of feeds (and server unpredictability) builds a healthy amount of randomness into it, guaranteeing a different "performance" every time you visit. Just be patient while the feeds load initially.

The Fainting Episode

In grade two, I was standing in front of the blackboard, reading aloud to the rest of the class, when I began reading the same sentence over and over - then suddenly dropped to the floor. The only time I've ever fainted. Thrillseekers can go here and listen to the audiobook version of the Dr. Seuss tale I was reading, "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins."

Vintage Vanguard

Fantastic Japanese website with a ton of vintage jazz record sleeves. That old Blue Note aesthetic is so inspiring.
